SPRING 2022 HIGHLIGHTS

CONFERENCE SPONSORS AND FRIENDS

Spring 2022 Keynote Speaker:
JONATHAN CLECK
Director, Greencastle Consulting
Swimming under ships in shark-infested waters. Jumping out of airplanes at night over the Arctic Circle. Responding to threats to a commercial airliner at 35,000 feet. And most terrifying, going on stage to perform stand-up comedy. Jonathan Cleck is a bit of an enigma…Navy SEAL, comedian, consultant, FBI Task Force Officer, academic nerd, Air Marshal, children’s book author, entrepreneur, leadership expert.
Jonathan Cleck, Director | Greencastle Consulting
Jonathan entered into the Navy on September 11, 1996, exactly 5 years before the terrorist attacks. Jonathan’s 25-year career in the SEAL Teams spanned both active duty and reserve time, including 11 years as an enlisted sailor and concluding as a Lieutenant Commander. Between his military deployments and assignments with the Air Marshals and FBI, Jonathan has worked in more than 65 countries.
Today, Jonathan is a recognized speaker on leadership, focusing on mental fortitude, team building and the use of humor to improve organizational effectiveness. Jonathan serves as the Director of REVOPS with Greencastle Consulting, the largest all-veteran company in the country. In the universe, actually. Jonathan has a B.S. in Behavioral Science (an actual B.S. in B.S.), a M.A. in National Security Studies, and is completing his doctorate in Organizational Leadership & Innovation.
Jonathan, his wife, Stephanie, and their three human tornadoes live in West Chester, PA. In addition to his professional and academic pursuits, Jonathan is also a hot mess of expensive hobbies and volunteer work for veteran-focused nonprofits. In his spare time, he can be found dodging rotten tomatoes and beer bottles on Philly’s amateur stand-up comedy circuit.

NNEKA BELL
Owner
Celebrities Fashion Group
Nneka Bell - Owner | Celebrities Fashion Group, President | Celebrities Quality Painting
Like many people, Nneka Bell’s journey has not always been easy. An unplanned pregnancy as a teenager forced her to drop out of high school. However, even though that would temporarily stop her pursuit of higher education, she took a bold step in 1998 and joined the United States Navy where she knew she could learn marketable skills. She was stationed aboard the U.S.S. Nimitz in Norfolk, Virginia. There she was taught to perform all forms of maintenance work such as painting and repairs on the ship—training that would later prove to be invaluable.
After being discharged from the Navy and working for more than a decade for the New York City Transit Authority, she was ready to complete her interrupted education and then fulfill her goal of being a successful woman entrepreneur in two seemingly diverse areas– the beauty industry and the decidedly male-dominated field of construction and home maintenance.
With determination and a clear goal, she earned an under-graduate degree and an M.B.A. from Mercy College where she was blessed to be mentored by fellow Marine veteran, Vivian DeCohen who she credits with fueling her determination to make a difference for her family, herself, and her community. This is evidenced by the countless “mommy make-overs” that she provided for women veterans out of her mobile “Beauty Store called Celebrities Boutique,” as well as her design and construction of Krystin’s Closet for veterans in the City of Mt. Vernon. This beautiful space that has the appearance of a luxury department store has attracted hundreds of veterans every week from far and wide veterans who do not have the financial resources to purchase clothing, shoes, toiletries, and non-perishable food items. For these veterans, this is truly a one-stop shop where everyone feels special and welcomed. Additionally, she works tirelessly to specifically help fellow women veterans connect with holistic wellness programs through her support of the mission of the Barbara Giordano Foundation.
Since earning her M.B.A. she has taken her education and coupled it with her social media skills and was able to successfully transition her Celebrities Boutique to an on-line platform which better meets the needs of the 21st century woman and the covid-era. At the same time, she became a federal sub-contractor who supervised maintenance for veterans’ hospitals and was responsible for the hiring and oversight of more than 40 employees—all while teaching business classes as an adjunct professor at Metropolitan College. However, her own education was not over.
In 2021 she was accepted into the doctoral program at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York. There she is focusing her research project on mentorship—something that she knew from her own personal experience could prove to be invaluable, especially to woman of color who are trying to succeed in the highly competitive world of business.
One might ask, “What motivates her?” The answer is simple—love for her family, her community, her fellow-veterans, and herself.
