Shaun manages the Strategic Military & Veteran Program at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. He is currently building both the military and veteran pipeline during a critical time for the Lab. Shaun’s program has been instrumental, increasing the veteran population by 103%, currently employing 636 veterans. The program was awarded a 4 Star Employer Award by VETS Indexes, the leading provider of veteran employer recognition. Before Shaun’s current role he was the Division Leader and Training Functional Area Manager at LLNL responsible for training and developing a world class workforce. Before joining the laboratory, Shaun worked for Ernest and Julio Gallo Winery. He began his career at Gallo in operations where he led the first implementation of Automated Guided Vehicles. He led training and development where he co-championed the Gallo Management & Leadership Development Program and was a co-recipient of a gold medal from Chief Learning Officer Magazine. Before joining Gallo, Shaun served as both an enlisted and Marine Corps officer. He served in both Reconnaissance – Special Operations Capable (SOC) and Light Armored Reconnaissance community’s as well as the training/development field specializing in numerous ground combat areas. Shaun served in the western pacific in multiple deployments serving in Desert Shield & Storm and numerous humanitarian operations in the Middle East and Indonesia.

Shaun is a passionate speaker, educator, and mentor in academic institutions, associations, organizations, and athletic teams in the leadership arena. Specifically, he’s reaching today’s youth and young adults with a strong message in developing principally centered character. His authentic, inspirational message focuses on service and sacrifice and has a clear connection to the adversity youth and young adults face today. He is compelled to work diligently to help mold young leaders in society. Shaun consults with StoryRock Inc. Remember My Service Division, seeking essential funding for commemorative book and documentary distribution recognizing Korean, Vietnam, and Gulf War Veterans. Shaun earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland in 1996. He’s trained and certified in numerous developmental specialties. He’s married to his wife Jennifer for twenty-nine years and has two children – Taylor (26) and Cameron (24).
