Nikita Wallace serves as Senior Manager of Veteran Hiring & Engagement for Hearst, where he leads the efforts to recruit, support, and retain military veterans, reservists, and military spouses across the enterprise.

A decorated U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant with 23 years of active service, Nikita brings a mission-first leadership approach grounded in operational discipline, talent development, and workforce strategy. During his military career, he held multiple recruiting and leadership assignments, developing deep expertise in identifying, assessing, and mentoring high-performing talent. His service was recognized with numerous honors, including two Navy Commendation Medals, three Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, five Navy Unit Commendations, two National Defense Medals, the Global War on Terrorism Medal, and multiple Certificates of Commendation and Recruiting Duty Ribbons. Following his military service, Nikita designed and led national veteran recruitment strategies in the private sector, most recently at Spectrum. In that role, he managed military talent-attraction programs, built strategic partnerships with leading veteran organizations, and advised senior leaders on sustainable veteran-hiring initiatives within a complex, multi-unit enterprise environment.

At Hearst, Nikita partners directly with hiring managers and talent acquisition teams to: •Translate military occupational specialties into civilian-aligned skills relevant to station roles •Strengthening veteran candidate pipelines across engineering, news, sales, creative services, operations, and corporate functions •Expand relationships with military transition offices and national veteran organizations •Support engagement and retention of military-connected employees, including leadership of Hearst Military Might, our employee resource group

Nikita holds a B.S. and A.S. in Criminal Justice Administration and is currently pursuing his MBA. He is based in Hearst’s Charlotte, North Carolina, office and works closely with hiring managers across the Hearst enterprise to advance veteran hiring and engagement efforts.
