Michael Piper leads Lowe’s Home Improvements Early and Emerging Talent programs focused on enterprise strategy and execution to attract and hire early talent, veterans, and military spouses.

Mike and his team at Lowe’s are dedicated to fostering opportunities for individuals to join Lowe’s through various programs and initiatives. Their efforts span university and non-traditional avenues, including overseeing internships, apprenticeships, and development programs. Simultaneously, they are committed to assisting military-connected individuals by providing pathways to employment, supporting internal military-connected associates through policies, and advocating for better transition programs for Veterans and Military Spouses. These collective endeavors have contributed to Lowe’s being recognized as a Top 10 Military Friendly Company, Tope 3 Military Friendly Brand, and a Top 10 Military Spouse Friendly Employer by Military Friendly,

Mike is also sits on the board of the Veterans Job Mission and has been recognized for his effort by being named a 2023 Veteran Champion of the Year in Corporate America by G.I. Jobs and the Veteran of the Year Award for 2022 by Veteran Bridge Homes.

Michael served six years in the United States Air Force as an Aerospace Ground Equipment Journeyman and earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of South Carolina. Before joining Lowe’s, Michael was a talent acquisition specialist with Family Dollar and has held roles at KForce and DICK’S Sporting Goods.
