  • The Veteran Perspective: Understanding the Modern Military Veteran Workforce

Kristen began her professional journey in 2002 by joining the United States Air Force as a Command & Control Operations Controller. Over the span of 20 years, she provided command, control, communications, and information support across various operational contexts, including peacetime, emergencies, disasters, crises, contingencies, and wars. She completed four deployments to the Middle East and Southwest Asia in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, followed by a yearlong assignment in South Korea. Kristen retired from active duty on October 1st, 2022. Currently, Kristen serves as a Clinical Recruiter at Select Medical, where she recruits medical professionals nationwide. Additionally, she actively participates in military and veteran recruitment initiatives through outreach with the DoD Skillbridge program, veteran and military peer groups, and transition assistance programs within the healthcare industry.
Kristen also volunteers as a mentor with American Corporate Partners.
