Keith Cassant is a US Army Veteran of 22 years. Since his retirement from the Army, Keith has had a deep passion and desire to help transitioning Service Members, whether it is in seeking employment, navigating the VA process, finances, relocating, or just figuring out what they want to be when they grow up. Keith joined the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) in November of 2021 as a Management and Program Analyst within the CSD Vulnerability Management’s Assessments Branch. After about 19 months serving alongside CISA’s Penetration Testers, Keith became CISA’s Military Programs Manager where he found his dream job working with Veterans and the military community for a living. He is all things “military” for CISA, from running CISA’s Skillbridge program, assisting CISA Veterans, Reserve/Guard members, and Military Spouses, making sure they are aware of and receiving the benefits they’ve earned, to advocating for and championing Veteran and Military Spouse hiring initiatives. Externally, Keith provides free services to the military community in the form of education, outreach, and advocacy on how to best position themselves to pivot into Cybersecurity and join CISA’s ranks (Hint: It’s the same advice he’d give for any industry, so he’s happy to meet with anyone).
