Josie Beets is the Program Manager for the Spouse Education and Career Opportunities program, supporting over 1.1 million military spouses with career exploration, education, training, and employer connections. With 15 years in the nonprofit and public sectors, primarily aiding military families, she was previously the Senior VP of Advancement for United Through Reading. Her federal experience includes managing the President’s Management Council at the General Services Administration and serving as an Army Legal Assistance Attorney at Fort Johnson. An active-duty Army spouse, she led the Military Spouse JD Network and founded the Network’s pro bono project. Josie holds a JD from Brooklyn Law School and a BA from Sweet Briar College.
