James Christman is the Veterans and Disabilities leader in Workforce Development at Con Edison. Since joining the Company in April of 2017, he has taken the lead in Veterans recruiting with hiring over 475 Veterans, Reservists, National Guard, and former Military members and is a board member of the Con Edison Veterans Resource Group.

His education includes an MBA from Long Island University, and Masters in Energy Management with an advanced certificate in Environmental Technology from New York Institute of Technology. He is also SHRM-CP Qualified.

Before joining the company, Mr. Christman has held numerous positions in the Utility sector in Gas Construction, Environmental (EHS), Public Affairs, Legal, and Gas Transmission, at National Grid, Hallen Construction, and The Department of Environmental Protection.

Mr. Christman’s service history is in the United States Navy has been continuous for over 33 years includes in various positions, such as: First Class Gas Turbine Technician, Construction Logistics Officer, ( Iraq Freedom 2008-2009), Enterprise Logistics Lead ( US Forces Korea) , and continues to serve today as a Reserve Commander, Supply Corps, assigned to US Naval Forces Japan, Yokosuka.
