Greg Renz is the lead for Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector Military and Veteran program. Northrop Grumman is a leading global security company providing innovative systems, products and solutions to government and commercial customers worldwide, offering an extraordinary portfolio of capabilities and technologies for applications from undersea to outer space and into cyberspace.

Greg is responsible for developing and executing programs that assist transitioning military members and veterans in discovering rewarding opportunities with Northrop Grumman. As part of the Mission Systems Talent Acquisition team, he works closely with the recruiting team and hiring managers to identify current talent demands and partners with them in developing military and veteran strategies to attract and retain top talent. Elements of these strategies include outreach, military and veteran organization partnerships, engagement events, and presentations.

One of Greg’s main responsibilities in his role is the Northrop Grumman Military Internship Program (DoD SkillBridge). In January 2020, Northrop Grumman became a partner with the Department of Defense (DoD) to offer transitioning service members an opportunity to participate in an internship as they transition out of the service. Greg works closely with a group of business partners to identify military internship opportunities, align talent, acquire military service approval, oversee onboarding, track individual progress, and coordinate with talent acquisition team to identify opportunities post military service. Northrop Grumman’s program has been recognized by the DoD as one of the top SkillBridge programs and as a model for other companies.

Greg is also the McLean Virginia Chapter Chair for VERITAS (Veterans, Employees, and Reservists Inspired to Act and Serve). This is a Northrop Grumman Employee Resource Group (ERG) committed to recognizing and supporting active duty, reserve, and National Guard veterans through community outreach and networking programs aligned with company and sector-wide business objectives.

Prior to joining Northrop Grumman, Greg served full-time in the Air National Guard, retiring in in 2015 after completing an extensive 26-year career. He started his military career in finance for his initial six years then found his passion in recruiting and remained there, ultimately served as the Chief of Recruiting Operations for the Air National Guard.
