Eric Airola

Eric Airola leads Military & Veteran Relations for J.B. Hunt Transport. In this role, Eric works closely with business leadership and other stakeholders to develop and manage the military talent acquisition strategy, military transition programs, and veteran recognition and support programs.
Additionally, he is a member of the Inclusion Office and represents J.B. Hunt in community relations and other functions that serve to build and enhance inclusion, diversity, equity, and belonging. Eric is a co-founder of J.B. Hunt’s Veteran Employee Resource Group and past Chair.

Prior to this assignment Eric was responsible for non-driver Talent Acquisition for the enterprise, and during his time in Human Resources he has been Director of People Business Partners, Benefits, and Talent Development. Eric began his career as part of J.B. Hunt’s Manager Training Program and was the first manager trainee recruited directly from the military. Eric joined J.B. Hunt following six years as an infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps.

He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from East Carolina University, and his Professional of Human Resources and Certified Diversity Professional certifications. Eric lives in Fayetteville, Arkansas with his wife, Dr. Denise Airola.
