Charles Spence

Charles is an accomplished technology executive with over 20 years of demonstrated success spanning healthcare and information technology. Charles has held leadership positions with Cigna, AllyAligh Health, Humana, General Electric, EpiphanyRx, Archimedes, and Community Health Systems. He has been responsible for strategy, solution delivery, product development, Infrastructure, interoperability and management across IT in complex and heavily regulated environments.

Currently, Charles is a technology executive with Cigna responsible for technology strategy for their Medicare Advantage line of business in Nashville.

Charles continues to service and support the Veteran community by serving as a mentor to other Veterans and support Cigna’s employment outreach efforts for Veterans and their spouses.

Charles earned his MBA and MSc in Telecommunications Management from the University of Maryland College Park, and his undergraduate in Management Information Systems (MIS) from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Charles earned his military commission from Marion Military Institute (MMI) and served in several command and staff positions. Charles is a graduate of the Army’s Signal Officer Basic Course, Signal Officer Advance Course, and Combined Arms and Services Staff School.
